Volunteers needed

Cycle re cycle is looking for volunteers to fill the following roles:

To join our steering group.
To help play a vital part in the development of Cycle re Cycle, attend meetings, look for partners and research potential areas of work.
Volunteer coordinator to help recruit and look after our volunteers. As an organisation we feel that volunteering is two way, volunteers help us and we help them.
To collect bikes from waste refuse sites and take them to our central storage (car & tow bar needed, mileage chargeable at 40p per mile).
To check over bikes and report if bikes are suitable to recycle. If not break it down to parts that can be recycled and cannot. Parts that can be recycled put in to stores and parts that cannot placed in appropriate scrap pile (steel or Ali)
Work with young people re cycling bikes, this is a role that requires 2 -3 hours each week due to the nature of the people we work with we need to build a relationship with them.
Hold cycle maintenance & repair workshops, this requires 2 – 3 hours monthly.
Organise sponsored events, e.g. sponsored bike ride.
Write funding applications (training and support is available).
Welder to make whacky bikes, please ask and we will email you pictures of examples.
Spray painter to spray paint frames.
